Carmine Minardi

Carmine was born into a hairdressing family. He began his career at age 19, working with his father. Several years later he began working in New York City as a staff developer for The Glemby Group and Seligman & Latz Corporations' education departments. His work took him all over the world where he was exposed to hairdressers, salon owners, clients and techniques from many different countries and cultures. This experience would inform Carmine's decision to open a salon in New York City, the beauty capital of the world.

From a 3 chair studio on Manhattan's West Side, Carmine's salon career exploded and the move to Madison Avenue was the next obvious step. What started as a small, 600 square foot now occupies more than 5,000 square feet on 2 floors of a century old building which Carmine and his wife Beth have proudly transformed into a stunning, modern, comfortable beauty destination.

Carmine has worked on hundreds of celebrities and models, and countless highly visible global personalities, housewives and professional women. Throughout Carmine's salon career he has also been coveted by major manufacturers such as Clairol, Redken and The Wella Corporation as Special Consultant, Product Developer, Educator and Spokesperson.

With his wife Beth, and with his fine team of hair colorists, hair designers, nail technicians and a caring reception staff, Carmine has created one of the most recognized salon settings in America. His signature cuts and artistic approach to hair texture keep his loyal clients --women and men -- seeking his services and booking those months in advance. Carmine has appeared on television programs like 20/20, Montel Williams, Ricky Lake and others. He is a frequent contributor to beauty editorial and maintains a heavy teaching schedule which continues to require that he travel widely.

Always on the lookout for new techniques, new approaches and interesting trends, Carmine remains a leading force in the world of professional hair design. He teaches the Minardi Beauty Focus seminars each year as well as performing at numerous industry events.

Carmine's passion for meeting clients and doing hair is still his main priority. The salon's club-like atmosphere reflects his refreshing, calming attitude and a visit to his chair is always a very special experience.
